UPDATE 12
Some really good news this friday build, so the build update is kinda small for good reason. On March 10th (my birthday) and 11th, I got to present minihunt in person at a rented out bar in Austin during SXSW (music festival). The game is still far from complete, but a free event to showcase a game would be good feedback and sanity check I thought. It was an absolute blast, can't recommend it enough to other devs to get out there in person and share their work with the world. I got to meat other indies, small studios, and some AAA devs. Played their demos, got some merch, shared contact info, all the works.
I got a couple dozen wishlists, which roughly translates to 2 sales. Not a lot, but I did get valuable feedback from watching how people play and interact in person rather than through stream. I also met a handful of people who were genuinely enthused, who already play the genre. Those people were absolutely excited for the game and their enthusiasm is invigorating. Overall, it was a great birthday, lots of fun.
Changes this week:
Added and fixed up controller support
More asset setup for spooky level
Minor orc camp work
Added QR code to game that directs to steampage (used for easily sharing during sxsw event lol)
Files
